The family of the humanitarian aid worker tortured, used as a sex slave, and ultimately murdered by ISIS is now saying Barack Obama welched on his promise to donate to the foundation established in her memory.

Kayla Mueller was a hostage among ISIS terrorists for nearly two years and lived through unspeakable horrors only to be murdered by her captors in 2015. By March of 2015 President Obama met with the victim’s family and according to them at that time he promised to make a personal donation to the foundation they created in her honor.

But now the family is saying that to date no such personal donation has turned up at the foundation. So far, they say, Obama has broken his pledge to donate, a report at LawNewz states.

Carl and Marsha Mueller were recently interviewed by ABC’s “20/20” news program and they say that after he asked during a March, 2015, visit what he could do to help them, they told him to support their foundation.

“I’m still waiting for that donation, Mr. President,” Carl said in the interview.

The White House as acknowledged that Obama did make such a promise and that he will eventually follow through.

The Muellers seem to be no fan of the president, though. In February of last year, for instance, they laid a portion of the blame for their daughter’s death right at Obama’s feet.

In an interview with “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, the Muellers criticized Obama for dismissing ISIS as the “Jayvee team” and said that the the trade of five Taliban prisoners for captive Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl made matters worse for their daughter.

The Muellers also felt that another charitable group that does work in the region, Doctors Without Borders, abandoned Kayla by refusing to try and work for her release even though they were in a position to reach out.

“They’re a fabulous organization, and they do wonderful work,” Marsha Mueller said, adding “but somewhere in a boardroom, they decided to leave our daughter there to be tortured and raped and ultimately murdered.”

Kayla was also deemed a hero by refusing to convert to Islam despite being tortured and repeatedly raped to force her to do so. It was even said she stayed with the terrorists in exchange for saving the lives of Yazidi sex slaves.

The Muellers’ grief was made worse when ISIS terrorists sent them photos of their daughter’s dead body.

ISIS had Kayla film a short video to prove, at the time, she was still alive.
