There’s more than one way to skin a cat.
In a not so subtle way, Fox News’ Shepard Smith smartly presented every possible defense for Hillary Clinton during an interview with the investigative reporter who broke the extraordinary story that more than half the people outside the government who met with Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money in some manner to the Clinton Foundation.
… to include stressing that the Democratic presidential nominee did nothing illegal.
And in the process of grilling Associated Press reporter Eileen Sullivan, Smith gave the journalist every opportunity to trip herself up, be it by injecting opinion or showing bias toward GOP rival Donald Trump. But Sullivan successfully traversed the treacherous terrain with little difficulty, letting the facts tell the tale.
Smith offered Team Hillary’s argument that the report was cherry picking, “a distorted portrayal of how often she crossed paths with individuals connected to charitable donations to the Clinton Foundation,” as campaign spokesman Brian Fallon stated.
But he couldn’t hide that the limited information was because the State Department resisted the AP’s Freedom Of Information Act requests.
Smith even took to social media to sell the Clinton side of the story:
Clinton pushes back on foundation controversy, says it's been transparent https://t.co/z99FYdeXGX

Based on the reaction of some on social media, there’s little doubt about where his loyalties lie. Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
Looks like it comes down to what your definition of “IS” is, again @ShepNewsTeam

This isn’t the first time Smith has shown his true colors. Back in July, BPR reported that Smith was attempting an interview with former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal in the wake of the murder of three police officers in Baton Rouge when he repeatedly scolded Jindal over three words, “all lives matter.”
