Professor won’t discuss Trump in class; says he’s so bad, it ‘would be a disservice to students’

Yet another liberal professor is showing her extreme left-wing bias. This time it’s a Pennsylvania prof who says Donald Trump is so evil that discussing him in her class would harm her student’s education.

Saying Trump “serves as a lightning rod for promoting further hate,” Gettysburg College professor Kathleen Iannello has written an editorial for Philly.com telling one and all she has banned Trump from the classroom.

She even claimed that being balanced in discussing the election is a “dishonest exercise.” Don’t you just love the hallowed halls of academia?

After spending several paragraphs claiming she presents a “balanced” view of politics in her “feminist political theory” class by mentioning a few very liberal Republicans — but admittedly not any conservative ones — Iannello goes on to proclaim Trump a “long national nightmare” whose presidency is “unthinkable.”

Laughably, she then goes on to insist that her hate for Trump is “neither partisan nor ideological.”

Her central thesis is that Trump does not deserve to be treated as a serious candidate:

“In the name of balanced, fair, and accurate reporting, the press has treated Trump as if he deserves to be in the presidential arena when – due to bigotry, hate, fearmongering, and a scarcity of leadership skills – he so clearly does not. Mann’s analysis is worthy of further consideration. It inspires me to think more carefully about my teaching.”

The “teacher” wraps up her op-ed asking “What, then, of balance?”

Her answer is telling.

“My approach for the fall semester will be boldly honest,” she concludes. “It is a disservice to students to attempt to provide balance when I know that balance is an offense to the truth.”

“The truth,” is simply her liberal, feminist version of “truth,” not the real truth.

And her students also feel her “truth” is her own version of reality and not any balanced presentation of the facts, according to Fox News.

Check out what some of her students have said about her:

“Professor Iannello means well and is a decent teacher, but she preaches her liberal propaganda way too much in class,” read a 2008 entry on Ratemyprofessor.com, adding, “she is not open to new ideas and is very closed-minded on her beliefs.”

Other entries described her as “intimidating if you lean right” and a person who gives “conservatives a hard time.” “If you’re a right-winger, be prepared to walk into a brick wall whenever you enter the classroom,” one review states.

She sure sounds “balanced,” doesn’t she?

Sadly, Iannello is hardly alone and this election is bringing out the worst of the far left in academia.

Recently, for instance, a professor in Florida said it was “racist” to use the term “melting pot”, in another case a black professor was found imagining a world where all whites had been eliminated — not racist at all is it? — and in yet another case a law professor suggested that our democracy should be overthrown to prevent Trump from becoming president.
