If you’re not inclined to tune into MSNBC, you could be missing out on some entertaining circus acts.
Rachel Maddow, for example, spent six minutes Tuesday night explaining how Vice President Joe Biden had to travel to the Baltics to “save the day” after Donald Trump’s so-called stupidity caused global panic.
“Clean-up on aisle five,” she smugly called it.
After a condescending history lesson, she played a clip of Biden’s Trump-bashing before hailing Biden a hero for saying this:
“Despite what you hear in this heated political scene, there is a wide, deep, bipartisan commitment to NATO in my country,” Biden told Baltic leaders Tuesday in Latvia. “Don’t listen to that other fellow. He knows not of what he speaks.”

Biden called on members of NATO to dismiss the Republican presidential nominee’s remarks about cutting back U.S. support for the group because he does not understand what he is talking about.
“Our sacred honor is at stake. The fact that you occasionally hear something from a presidential candidate in the other party — it’s nothing should be taken seriously, because I don’t think he understands what Article 5 is,” he told reporters in Riga, Latvia, referring to the promise in the agreement that an attack on one NATO nation would be treated as an attack on all of them.
Trump’s frustration with NATO is due to the unfair share of the funding burden of the group that falls on the U.S. He has called for the 28 members of the military alliance to pay their proportionate share rather than have their defense subsidized by America.
Meeting with Latvian President Raimonds VÄ“jonis on Tuesday, Biden discussed last month’s NATO summit in Warsaw, Poland, and reaffirmed the commitment of the U.S. to NATO.
“I want to make it clear, absolutely clear to all the people of the Baltic states, we have pledged our sacred honor, the United States of America, our sacred honor to the NATO Treaty and Article 5,” he told reporters. “We mean what we say, we have never reneged on any commitment we have made.”
