A Poltico reporter took things a tad too far for ex-Secret Service agent Dan Bongino.
Marc Caputo brought up an unflattering piece in the Naples Daily News about Bongino’s run for a congressional seat in Florida’s 19th district. After a back-and-forth via Twitter on Monday where Bongino called out the paper for blatant bias and unfair reporting, Caputo asked Bongino to give him a call.
Bongino did, and things got ugly – really, ugly.
Bongino accused the Naples Daily News of propaganda, while Caputo kept asking for proof.
“You don’t understand this story is a pinnacle of a series of narratives the Naples Daily News has put out from day one,” Bongino said. “You need to drop the Adderall and talk to the candidate.”
Caputo again accused of Bongino of dodging the question and the conversation escalated quickly.
If there are kids around, now would be the time to have them put on their “ear muffs” because Bongino lets the F-bombs fly after accusing Caputo of engaging in “verbal diarrhea.”
But Bongino really lost it when Caputo told him it was Bongino’s job to answer his quesions.
“You don’t give me orders! Do you undertand you piece of s**t?!”
As one can imagine, the dialouge doesn’t improve from there, but goes into a long-winded, F-bomb laced tirade that cannot be missed.
“I know it hurts. I know. It hurts. I feel your pain. One of these days you’ll get a real job.”
“I promise you, you will rue the day you lied about me,” Bongino said. “You’re nothing but a liar hack journalist.”
By the end of the excruciation back-and-forth we were left with the following from Bongino:
“Shut your f***ing mouth you f***ing coward.”
“Shut the f**k up.”
“Go f**k yourself.”
“You’re a f***ing scumbag.”
And…
“Hey, f**k you. F***********k you!!!”
Let’s hope Bongino has a better day today.
