Jon Voight goes off on reporter for distorting Trump’s words, then tells him what he should go do

Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight is standing by his man Donald Trump and slamming the media for distorting the GOP nominee’s comments about “Second Amendment people.”

“People are trying to make him look foolish,” Voight told TMZ reporters at a restaurant on Wednesday, referring to the twisting of Trump’s words in a rally speech to insinuate the GOP nominee was calling for violence against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“He’s a terrific guy. I know him personally,” the 77 year-old actor, an outspoken Trump supporter, said. “He’s got a good sense of humor. He’s off the cuff. He’s a lot of fun.”

The conservative actor, who officially endorsed Trump earlier this year, admonished the TMZ reporter for saying Trump had joked about “assassinating” Clinton.

“He didn’t say that word,” Voight objected. “Don’t do that, don’t distort what he said.”

Voight added, what the reporter, and everyone should do…

“You can be in a lot of trouble if people want to distort your words,” Voight said. “That’s what he goes through. All the time, every time. He’s being attacked continuously. They’re taking apart everything he does. He made a wonderful speech yesterday. Everybody should sit down and listen to that speech, because it’s full of substance and it tells you what the problems are, and it tells you how to answer those problems.”
