America wins first gold medal of Olympics, but leave it to liberals to ruin the moment

America struck gold first at the 2016 Olympic Games on Saturday in Brazil.

And while most Americans were excited about it, some left-wingers had to rain on the parade.

Ginny Thrasher, 19, of West Virginia University, took the top spot in the women’s 10-meter air rifle event.

She defeated Du Li of China, who took silver, with a 208.0 score in the finals. It’s an Olympic record, according to USA Today.

China’s Yi Siling took home the bronze.

It’s the first Olympics for Thrasher, who is an NCAA champion at WVU.

Li, on the other hand, won the gold at the 2004 games in Athens. Siling grabbed the gold in London in 2012. Serbia’s Andrea Arsovic, who failed to reach the finals, came to the games ranked No. 1 in the world.

Social media, including conservative radio host and author Dana Loesch and “Saturday Night Live” and “Ghostbusters” star Leslie Jones, were very excited about Thrasher’s win.

But, as usual, some lefties had to play the role of party pooper.
