Trump is asked about women in his presidential cabinet and a familiar name comes up

Donald Trump was asked Wednesday about possible female cabinet members and the GOP presidential nominee brought up a familiar name — his daughter Ivanka Trump.

In an interview with First Coast News’ Angelia Savage, who previously worked for Trump, the candidate responded to the inquiry by saying there were “so many different ones to choose,” before mentioning his daughter.

“I can tell you everybody would say, ‘Put Ivanka in, put Ivanka in,’ you know that, right?” he said. “She’s very popular, she’s done very well, and you know Ivanka very well.”

Playing on his familiarity with Savage, Trump then tossed her name in the ring.

“But there really are so many that are really talented people, like you,” he said. “You’re so talented, but I don’t know if your viewers know that.”

“Is this breaking news? Am I gonna be in the cabinet?” Savage said in jest as she feigned a high-pitched squeal.
