Just when you thought the world couldn’t get any stranger, this happens.
Australian artist Lushsux is known for his controversial work, and his latest mural has lived up to the hoopla.
Lushsux created a stir with Melbourne street art depicting Hillary Clinton donning a patriotic bathing suit with some cash tucked in the side.
The politically correct city council did not take kindly to the “offensive” art and contacted the local police.
“We contacted Victoria police to provide their opinion on the matter, and they deemed the mural to be offensive and in contravention of the Graffiti Prevention Act 2007, which council is responsible for enforcing.”
Condemning graffiti is one thing, but this sounds more like the mural was in strict violation of some sort of anti-free-speech-regressive-politically correct code.
“We believe that this mural is offensive because of the depiction of a near-naked woman, not on the basis of disrespect to Hillary Clinton, and it is not in keeping with our stance on gender equity,” said Stephen Wall, the council chief executive.
“Near-naked?” Have these prudes been to the beach lately? Scratch that … have they been to their local mall?
Instead of getting mad, Lushsux got busy “evening” the score and painted over the mural to show Hillary wearing a Muslim niqab.
Next to Hillary, Lushsux wrote, “If this Muslim woman offends you, you’re a racist, sexist Islamaphobe.”
In other words … the ball’s in your court now Melbourne officials.
Meanwhile, someone posted video of Lushsux remaking his mural on Twitter where it received plenty of positive reaction:

It should be noted that Lushsux is an equal opportunity “offender” and has created naked murals of Donald Trump and his wife Melania. Lushsux, however, circumvented potential problems with his Melania picture by covering up her private parts with smirking Trump heads.
