Among celebrities, it seems that even perceived Trump support will cause you inordinate grief from Hollywood liberals.
Just ask Blake Shelton, who candidly spoke about Donald Trump during an interview with Billboard.
“Whether you love him or hate him, he says what he thinks, and he has proven that you don’t always have to be so afraid. A lot of people are pulling for him, no matter how much Hollywood fights it. …” Shelton said. “I probably wish there was another option, but there’s not.”
That seemingly innocent comment brought the ire of Hollywood celebrity and strong Hillary Clinton supporter Debra Messing, who wrote the following at Shelton’s celebrity wife, Gwen Stefani, in a now-deleted tweet: “Omg. How? @gwenstefani please talk to your man to not vote for the person who will STRIP you of your rights.”
To which Shelton responded:
Hey before this gets going like it always does… I haven't enforced ANYBODY for president. And I not going to. I don't do that shit.
