GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, who is campaigning as the law and order candidate, says “it is only getting worse” after one police officer was killed and another injured late Thursday night.
After pulling over a vehicle in the area, two San Diego, California, police officers who had called for backup were shot by a suspect, who is now in custody, according to ABC News.
Trump tweeted right away:
Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has yet to tweet or even put out a statement on the killing of a police officer and the injury of another.
Instead, she tweeted out a self-promoting clip of her Democratic National Convention speech:
"Let’s look to the future with courage and confidence.
Let’s build a better tomorrow for our beloved children." https://t.co/jcMy9VIuIJ
