During a CNN segment where reporter Brianna Keilar was speaking openly about Hillary Clinton’s checkered past with race relations, the live feed was suddenly cut short.
Keilar started by explaining Clinton’s history with a 1990’s crime bill, which her husband President Bill Clinton signed at the time, saying that she has contributed to the current race relations issue.
But all of a sudden, her live feed was cut short.
“Largely Hillary Clinton’s comments here today, John, were based around the recent violence that we have seen,” Keilar said. “The police-involved shootings of black men in Minnesota, in Louisiana, and the killing of white police officers by a black gunman in Dallas.
“That was really what she based her comments on around today,” she continued. “And remember Hillary Clinton has some vulnerabilities herself.”
“Even as she calls for criminal justice reform because of her support in the 1990’s for anti-crime legislation that ultimately helped contribute to this era of mass incarceration that she now speaks out again..” Keilar said just as the live feed cut to a black, silent screen.
Anchor John Berman quickly interrupted, saying “We just lost Brianna Keilar who was in Springfield, Illinois where Hillary Clinton just spoke.”
