California councilwoman under pressure to resign for INSANE anti-cop Facebook post

A California councilwoman is being called on to resign after she posted on Facebook — and later deleted — her opinion placing the blame for the five Dallas police officers’ murders by a sniper upon America’s law enforcement community.

Nevada City Councilwoman Reinette Senum posted, according to Sacramento CBS affiliate KMAX Channel 13 News:

“This was completely incited by America’s police force. They have obviously been given directives to go out there and kill.”

Senum was making obvious reference to recent police-involved shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota.

The Nevada City Police Department was not at all thrilled with her comments, and have asked for her resignation.

“That vote was unanimous,” said Officer Tim Ewing with Nevada City Police Association.

“You paint a picture that every police officer is corrupt and that were out looking to kill somebody is just completely unacceptable,” he said.

Despite her opinion that the Dallas bloodbath “was incited by America;s police force,” Senum claimed she didn’t intend to blame all officers.

“Black lives lost, the lives of police officers lost is a tragedy. It’s not mutually exclusive to the fact that we need to have high standards with our police force. We lost a lot of those high standards and we want them back,” she said.

But Ewing called her statement inflammatory and said they’re not paid to kill.

“It’s not something that anybody wants to do and certainly there’s been no directive for us to go do such a thing,” he said.

While she sits on ther Nevada City Council, Senum said she wasn’t referring to Nevada City Police.

“The good police officers who are out there doing their job, I have the highest regard for them,” she said.

If nothing else, Ewing said he’s received a lot of community support as a result of Senum’s posting.

“I don’t even know how to say just how much we appreciate the support from the community we get and that’s why it is so hurtful for somebody that the community trusted to come here and make decisions for the city for this community to say the things that were said,” he said.
