It’s not often that Sarah Palin follows in the footsteps of Rosie O’Donnell, BUT…

It’s not often that you can say that Sarah Palin followed in the footsteps of Rosie O’Donnell, but the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate just participated in the taping of a remake of the 70s game show “Match Game.”

O’Donnell delivered a big, fat punchline in an episode of the game show aired on Sunday that featured a jab at Donald Trump.

The very pro-Trump former governor of Alaska took to her Facebook page to announce her guest spot on the show:

The game show is hosted by the very liberal Alec Baldwin, who said Palin “is here because Tina Fey won’t return my calls,” according to the New York Daily News.

Palin spoke to the Daily News afterwards about her support for Trump.

“I believe we need an outsider who will unveil what the problems are in both political parties that have so disenfranchised the voter and made people not want to be involved in their own government any more,” she said. “Trump is one who can unveil that. And then actually do something about it.”

Palin went on to say that she respects Trump because “he is a maverick.”

The other panelists on the episode that will be aired later can be seen here:
