Gay Youtube star reported beaten in ‘hate crime.’ Now, LA sheriff has an embarrassing revelation…

Gay Youtube star Calum McSwiggan faked a hate crime against himself after he alleged that three men had beat him up and put him in the hospital.

McSwiggan posted an Instagram photo to his social media showing himself in a hospital bed with a scarred forehead.

Last night was the worst night of my life and I’m really struggling to find the words to talk about it. After one of the most wonderful weekends at VidCon we went out to a gay club to celebrate, and towards the end of the evening I was separated from my friends and beaten up by three guys. The authorities should have been there to help and protect me but instead they treated me like a second class citizen. With three broken teeth and six stitches in my forehead, I’ve never felt so terrified to be a gay man in the public eye. All I can do is thank my wonderful friends @riyadhk, @melaniiemurphy and @douga_ for being with me the whole way. I’d be lost without them. Right now I don’t feel that I’m in the right place to talk about this but I will be addressing this fully in the future.

Since the photo was posted, the Los Angeles County Police Department have released a different story, according to Breitbart.

Captain Holly M. Perez of the West Hollywood Police Station claims that they “were unable to substantiate the assault” and that McSwiggan “had no visible injuries” at their time of investigation. Police soon arrested McSwiggan however after he was seen by deputies vandalizing a car, and the YouTuber ended up being processed with a mugshot and given a cell for the night.

West Hollywood Police officers “then observed [McSwiggan] injuring himself with the handle and receiver to a payphone inside the cell.” After breaking his teeth and piercing his forehead, McSwiggan was quickly sent to the local hospital.

“Medical personnel were summoned and Mr. McSwiggan was transported to a local hospital for treatment,” claims the police statement. It was then that the YouTuber posted a picture of his injuries, whilst his mugshot shows him in a healthy and unharmed condition.

Now, McSwiggan is hearing from angry fans who are mad that he allegedly lied about being attacked for being gay.

“What a piece of shit you are,” one Instagram user wrote. “This entitled douchebag is evil to fake an attack in the wake of Orlando. SCUM.”

“I’m saddened that you would fake something like this,” another user wrote. “By making it look as if the Police hurt you. You are probably the first one to call 911 when something happens to you, but you want to blame the cops for something they did not do. If people trusted you before they won’t now.”

McSwiggan said he will not talk about the incident until he gets his day in court.
