As the news broke about the pending release of the Congressional Select Committee report on the 2012 terror attack on our embassy facilities in Benghazi, Libya, the Democrats tried to turn the terror attack on Donald Trump with a strange “report” of their own that oddly mentions Trump 23 times. Yes, Donald Trump, the man who was not in government in 2012 and had nothing whatever to do with the Benghazi attack, is mentioned 23 times in the Democrat “report.”
On the same day the full Select Committee report was revealed, the Democrats tried to sidetrack the results by releasing their own, highly partisan 339-page report that contains the nearly two dozen mentions of the current GOP front-runner for the nomination for president.
Ridiculously, Trump is mentioned more times than Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, the two former Navy SEALs killed during the terror attacks in Libya that terrible day.
When the Democrat “report” was released, conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was incredulous over the whole thing.
They have released their own report, and here’s all you need to know about it: “A 339-page report released by Democrats on the House Select Committee on Benghazi mentions Donald Trump 23 times.” Donald Trump wasn’t even on the public scene when Benghazi happened. He might have been on TV commenting about it as an infrequent guest, but what did Trump have to do with Benghazi? Nothing. But that’s not the point. The reason the Democrats mentioned Trump 23 times in their report is to provide the media a highway.
As Rush noted, the media fell in line with the Democrat agenda by proclaiming that there was “nothing new” in the report to smear Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton with culpability for the deaths of four Americans including our Libyan ambassador, Chris Stevens. Even though the whole report is a damning indictment of both Obama and Hillary, the media is claiming it is no big deal.
The Democrat report also accidentally revealed that Hillary gave her close pal Sidney Blumenthal a $200,000 payoff to do very little. This is the same Sidney Blumenthal that even Barack Obama didn’t want on the federal payroll.
Back in 2009, Obama blocked the appointment of Blumenthal to a position at the State Department when Hillary took over as Secretary of State. But in the Democrats’ Benghazi report, we find that Hillary engineered a special payout to him despite Obama’s distaste for the man.
