As Democrats continued their staged sit-in on the House floor to try to force a vote on gun legislation, a shouting match between two lawmakers nearly came to blows.
Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert stormed onto the floor, interrupting Rep. Brad Sherman of California as he was speaking Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Gohmert pointed at a poster of victims of the Orlando shooting and yelled “Radical Islam killed these people!”
Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown, representing the district in Orlando where the terror attack happened, was holding the poster. Brown and Gohmert’s confrontation escalated and the two had to be separated by colleagues on the chamber floor, the Times reported.
