A strict no-photo rule at a Hillary Clinton fundraiser apparently applied to everyone except one guest.
The $33,000-a-head event on Monday at the home of movie magnate Harvey Weinstein and his fashion-designer wife, Georgina Chapman, hosted guests such as Leo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, the New York Post reported.
But one guest dared to rebel against the rules: Martha Stewart.
Although “everyone obeyed the no social media rules,” a source told the Post, “Martha was the only one who didn’t. It was like, ‘No rules for Martha!’ She was up in Hillary’s face — not only with an iPhone, but with like a Canon camera.”
“To a person, everyone noticed,” the source added.
Other more rule-abiding guests at the intimate dinner for 50 included fashion designers Vera Wang and Tory Burch, “Real Housewife” Bethenny Frankel and actress Candice Bergen.
DiCaprio, sources told the Post, sat next to Clinton. “He was very gallant,” a source told the Post. “He even pulled out Hillary’s chair for her” to sit down.
No other guests reportedly broke the photo rule, except for the rebel domestic diva. But Stewart’s snapshots never made it to her social media accounts, according to the Post. Instead, her Instagram and Twitter feed featured posts about her canaries and her 10th anniversary with Macy’s.
Maybe Stewart’s rule-breaking behavior was inspired by her photo subject.
