A prominent evangelical Hispanic figure came out in full-force on Tuesday, praising GOP Donald Trump as his choice for president.
Samuel Rodriguez, president of the NHCLC, the country’s largest evangelical Hispanic organization, named just about every reason why he’s voting for Trump this election cycle, saying he would keep Christians safe.
“Here’s where I resonate with Donald Trump,” said Rodriguez. “On religious liberty, on the sanctity of life, on addressing Christian persecution around the world, but not only around the world, but here in America.”

“He speaks truth to power,” Rodriguez said of Trump. “There are on occasions where, I admit, I have issues with, there are little nomenclatures and scriptures and aspects of the rhetoric. All of us have.”
“He speaks truth,” Rodriguez continued. “He’s not politically correct.”
