Former late night show host Jay Leno says he’d rather spend time with Caitlyn Jenner than GOP nominee Donald Trump these days.

In an interview with Fox News, Leno revealed his brutally honest opinion of Trump and this election, saying things are no longer as humorous as they once were.

“I don’t want to interview Trump,” Leno said. “I came up in the era when Clinton was horny and Bush was dumb. It was a simpler, funny time. Now it is all race baiting and homophobia and Islamophobia.”

“There are still plenty of jokes there,” Leno continued. “But there is an ugliness to this campaign that I don’t find attractive at all, and I really don’t want to joke about somebody saying, ‘All Muslims should be kicked out of the country or ‘because a guy is Mexican, he can’t be a judge.’ It is tricky to find the joke there.”

On Caitlyn Jenner, Leno said he has known the once male, Olympic athlete for some time and feels as thought she has remained genuine.

“I have known Caitlyn for a long time,” Leno said. “She is still very much the same person, still very competitive.”
