The Democratic National Convention (DNC) is taking a page out of GOP nominee’s playbook, but the only problem is that they continue to attack him for it.

Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt, and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz have all panned Trump’s proposal to build a border wall across the US southern border, with Clinton saying the country shouldn’t be “building walls,” but instead “breaking down barriers.”

As it turns out, the DNC is building a wall itself in order to keep its convention as safe as possible, according to NBC Philadelphia.

Security at the Sports Complex during the Democratic National Convention next month will include “no-scale fencing” to enclose the Wells Fargo Center and Xfinity Live!, the Secret Service special agent in charge said in an interview Thursday.

But exact boundaries of the security perimeter around the sports arena, where the convention will take place July 25-28, are not yet finalized, Special Agent James Henry told NBC10.com.

“We’re not quite there to talk about the perimeter yet,” Henry said. “We’re probably a couple weeks away from finalizing that. But expect some closures.”

The move by the DNC comes after a left-leaning journalist from Esquire Magazine visited southern border states to ask residents if Trump’s proposal for a wall was necessary.

The response he received was overwhelmingly in favor of a border wall and the Esquire piece turned into a full-fledged feature that called Trump’s border wall “A modest proposal for our times.”

Additionally, conservative icon Phyllis Schalfly has called for Republican Party leaders to put Trump’s border wall proposal into the official platform of the party, writing that “building a wall is now the foundation of Republican immigration policy – and yes, Mexico will pay for the wall.”
