Clueless Dem sparks firestorm for questioning why any American ‘should have a gun’

A Democratic National Platform Committee member said that no one should own a gun Wednesday.

“I really don’t personally think anyone should have a gun,” Bonnie Schaefer, a North Carolina resort and spa owner said at a planning event. “I mean that’s just my own — you know — philosophy.”

Then Schaefer gave this argument.

“Nothing is ever solved when you have a gun in your hand, except the worst possible scenario,” she said.

Republican National Committee chief strategist and communications director Sean Spicer noted that the DNC platform committee was meeting in Washington, D.C. Wednesday, and wondered if the DNC would try to take “God” out of their platform like they tried in 2012.

Then he tweeted:

People were understandably appalled.

The Washington Free Beacon also covered Schaefer’s remarks, and its tweet bore similar fruit.
