New ‘national treasure’ Congress seeks to declare has folks FUMING

If only this were a joke.

With issues ranging from international terror to violence on America’s streets, and in the midst of a contentious presidential election season, Congress has turned its focus on House Resolution 642.

That’s right.

Texas Rep Pete Sessions and others in Washington, D.C. today are set to honor magician David Copperfield, calling on the House to pass HR 642 “recognizing magic as a rare and valuable art form and national treasure.”

Maybe Copperfield can magically fix some of the nation’s real problems while he’s in town.
