The spiritual guide to millions might want to meditate on his idiotic comments…
Prominent New Age authority Deepak Chopra finds himself at the center of a heated controversy after using an unacceptable epithet to describe the mentally challenged while criticizing Donald Trump.
In an appearance Tuesday on Fox News Radio’s “The Alan Colmes Show,” Chopra said the presumptive Republican presidential nominee was not only “emotionally retarded,” but maybe “mentally retarded.”
“I would never say this unless I believed it was 100 percent true,” he told Colmes. “But he represents the racist, the bigot, the one who’s prejudiced, the one who is full of fear and hatred, the one who represents emotional retardation of a three-year old.”
“And yet he’s so popular because he’s given permission to our collective psyche to express their darkest demons,” Chopra added.
The alternative medicine advocate went on to further clarify his criticism of Trump.
“He’s full of fear. He is angry. He has a lot of hatred. He pouts, he’s belligerent, he’s emotionally retarded,” Chopra said, adding that he would never say these things about anybody, but Trump “brings out the worst in me.”
He would also double down on his earlier criticism.
“Maybe I was too kind when I said he was emotionally retarded, maybe he’s mentally retarded too,” Chopra said later.
The reaction on social media showed that while people respected his right to express his opinion, they didn’t appreciate that Chopra demeaned disabled people in the process.

@MarlowNYC @thedailybeast @DeepakChopra Because calling someone you disagree with “mentally retarded” makes you a good person.
