A photo of Bristol Palin at at a tropical looking location set off a flurry of speculation that was later confirmed.
The photo of Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, with her ex-fiance Dakota Meyer was posted to Meyer’s Instagram account Wednesday. It instantly set off questions about the ring on Palin’s finger and whether the two were married, ET reported.
On one hand, we know that everything happens for a reason, and there are no mistakes or coincidences. On the other hand, we learn that we can never give up, knowing that with the right tools and energy, we can reverse any decree or karma. So, which is it? Let the Light decide, or never give up? The answer is: both. #dakotameyer0317
In their on-again-off-again relationship, all under the public eye, the couple got engaged in March 2015 only to break it off days before the wedding. Palin’s pregnancy was announced after the break-up and the couple later entered a custody battle over their now five month-old daughter, Sailor Grace.
Questions were answered later Wednesday as ET exclusively confirmed Palin had married Meyer, who is a Marine Corps veteran and Medal of Honor recipient.
“Life is full of ups and downs but in the end, you’ll end up where you’re supposed to be,” Palin and Meyer told ET. “We are so happy to share with loved ones the wonderful news that we got married!”
“Hard work and God’s grace are the foundation of our new life together, and with the love and support of our family we know we can get through anything,” they said.
The couple is currently on their honeymoon, ET reported.
