A social media greeting by the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia raised a few eyebrows, and a few questions about who was in the video – and who was not.

The video was posted to mark the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and, according to Twitchy, journalist Ezra Levant reported that it featured Mike Hankey, Consul General at the U.S. Consulate in Dhahran.

Oddly, Hankey’s information page indicate he is married with two sons, but his wife did not appear in the video.

After Hillary Clinton’s Ramadan message had some social media users wondering if she had converted to Islam, reaction to the Embassy’s video was not all welcoming.

Though there were certainly many who were grateful for the gesture.
