San José Police Chief Eddie Garcia has come under fierce criticism for all but giving anti-Trump thugs space to destroy … the faces of Trump supporters.
In a statement last week, Garcia fretted over the possibility that protecting Trump supporters exiting a campaign rally — see enforcing the law — would further “incite” the mob violently attacking them.
Adding to the scrutiny the police chief is facing is an apparent affiliation with the far-left ethnic front group La Raza, which raises questions about Garcia’s political leanings.
Gateway Pundit reported that a post on Garcia’s Twitter account shows the police chief commenting on recruiting at a La Raza Roundtable de California meeting:

According to its website, La Raza Roundtable de California “brings together community organizations, community leaders, elected officials, private and public sector representatives in leadership capacities that can impact positive change for La Raza.”
The website also appeared to tout Garcia being sworn into office earlier this year:
The National Council of La Raza is a far-left group with over 300 affiliate organizations and claims to be “the largest national Hispanic civil-rights and advocacy organization in America.”
The term “La Raza” — Spanish for “The Race” — has long been a source of “considerable controversy,” according to David Horowitz’s Discover the Network.
“Critics claim that the name reflects an organizational commitment to racial separatism and race-based grievance mongering,” DTN notes.
Separatists on the left say the Southwestern United States — they call the territory “Aztlán” — rightfully belongs to the people of Mexico and their goal is to “reconquer” these “stolen” lands. This belief is known as the Reconquista Movement.
The National Council of La Raza argues that interpretation.
“We have a Spanish term in our name, ‘La Raza’ (meaning ‘the people’ or ‘community’), which is often mistranslated,” the group’s website states.
