A video was captured and posted to YouTube of a woman getting too close to an elk at Yellowstone National Park last week.
The elk noticed her photographing the beast, and didn’t like it one bit. It charged and butted the woman, sending her careening and landing on her hindquarters.
She got right up afterwards and didn’t appear to be injured — except for her pride, perhaps.
Lesson learned: Wildlife isn’t the same as Fido or Fluffy back home. If you want to get a closeup of a wild animal, use a telephoto lens.
