In what seems to be a trend in celebrity activism, another Hollywood actress snapped a selfie for gun awareness.

Amy Schumer joined the #wearorange movement promoting National Gun Violence Awareness Day, posting a photo of herself in a sports bra…only a sports bra.

Today please #wearorange for gun safety! #everytown

“Today please #wearorange for gun safety! #everytown,” read the caption of the Instagram post.

Schumer’s bottom-less selfie may not instantly inspire phone calls to government representatives calling for stricter gun laws, but it is undoubtedly one way to raise awareness.

The post follows another actress’s attempt to raise awareness on Twitter that backfired. Debra Messing’s tweet on gun violence landed her in a storm of criticism Wednesday.

Schumer’s attempt did not go without criticism as well, although the comedian’s spotlight on gun violence seemed to just cause confusion.
