The 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia is shaping up to be the most contentious since Chicago in 1968.
Bernie Sanders fans are beginning to “feel the Bern” of a Hillary Clinton nomination and are uniting in support of their candidate, according to The Daily Caller.
Already more than 20,000 people have committed to protest an expected Clinton nomination at the end of July and there won’t be a lot of “brotherly love” based on an “Occupy DNC Convention 2016” website set up to help facilitate the event.
“This page is to bring all Bernie Sanders supporters together at the DNC Convention to fight for the will of the people (Bernie Sanders’s nomination) — not a fraudulent Hillary nomination,” the ABOUT page reads.
It’s always a treat to watch liberals eat their own and after Philadelphia, the Democratic Party may come to rue the day it embraced the Occupy Wall Street movement.
The group has gotten a permit to protest from the city and have also set up a Facebook page to organize housing and transportation.
Among the documents shared within the group are “Civil Disobedience Training” and “Health and Safety at Militant Actions,” which includes tips on first-aid and withstanding teargas, The Daily Caller reported.
The goal is to swing super delegates to Sanders, but should that fail the group says they will not vote for Clinton: “If they nominate her anyway, we show them they did not ‘win’ for we will not be voting for her in [November].”
