Weatherman Sam Champion launched a social media attack against American Airlines for allegedly swapping passengers.

In an epic Twitter tirade that spanned over 30 tweets, the former “Good Morning America” and Weather Channel anchor blasted the airline for what he called “shameful” behavior. The 54 year-old posted that the company was pulling passengers from a flight because it was “too heavy” but later replaced them with other travelers.

Champion had earlier posted that his flight home from Pensacola, Florida was delayed twice and ultimately cancelled. American Airlines responded to his tweet, apologizing for the delay and directed further communication to be through direct message.

But the weatherman did not want any “special treatment” when the airline offered to privately communicate.

Champion continued to level shots at the airline citing poor treatment of the “puzzled” crew and “disorganized policies.”

The company blamed the problems on “developing weather” to which the former weather anchor gave a sarcastic thanks.

Chanpion eventually made it out on a flight home, but concluded that there were no winners in the Twitter battle.
