Glenn Beck definitely didn’t see this coming!
SiriusXM’s Patriot Channel radio has suspended Beck from the air for one week after comments about ‘removing’ GOP nominee Donald Trump with a possible assassination attempt was mentioned on his show last week, SiriusXM announced.
“SiriusXM encourages a diversity of discourse and opinion on our talk programs,” the announcer said on the Patriot Channel. “However, comments made recently by a guest, that would be Brad Thor, on independently produced Glenn Beck program, in the company’s judgment, that would be SiriusXM, may be reasonably construed by some to have been advocating harm against an individual currently running for office.”
“Which SiriusXM as a company cannot and will not condone,” the announcer continued. “For that reason, the Glenn Beck program is suspended from the Patriot Channel for the coming week and are evaluating its place in our lineup going forward.”
The suspension came after Thor said on Beck’s program that a “patriot” should “step up” and “remove” Trump, first reported by Mike Cernovich’s blog Danger and Play.
“I am about to suggest something very bad….” Thor said on Beck’s program. “With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that? … I don’t think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office, because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.”
