There have been a lot of great names bandied about as potential Donald Trump running mates, but this has got to be the ‘craziest’ one yet (pun intended).
Friday morning on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” panelist Nicolle Wallace asked Trump if he would consider Bernie Sanders for the position.
“Oh wow, that’s a great question,” Trump responded, noting the one huge thing they have in common. “We know that the United States has been taken advantage horribly on trade deals. The difference between Bernie and myself is I know how to make those trade deals fantastic and he doesn’t. He has no clue…”
Wallace responded, “But as your number two, he could watch and learn from you.”
To which Trump replied, “He’s got too many things in the bag.”
Well, it certainly wasn’t a ‘no!’
Trump did reiterate the fact that he hopes to win over many angry Sanders supporters who aren’t happy with how Hillary Clinton has treated their candidate.
