Trump mentioned Clinton’s many sex scandals that surrounded his political career, including his most famous sexual encounters with 1990’s White House intern, Monica Lewisnky.
“Well, maybe she’s saying that, or maybe she just wants him around the White House so she can keep her eye on him,” Trump said.
When asked about Clinton’s second time being in the White House, Trump said, “I don’t know. Maybe he’ll bring the Energizer with him,” referring to what one of former president’s alleged mistresses who was given the nickname by the US Secret Service.
Trump also went after Clinton for an attack on his temporary ban on Muslim immigration, in which she claimed it would somehow help terror organizations like ISIS.
“Is that the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard? … What she said is so dumb,” Trump said.
On one of Trump’s key campaign issues, trade, he said the Clintons are mainly to blame for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) which has cost the country thousands of US jobs over the course of more than a decade.
“He was the one that got that started, and that led to catastrophe,” Trump said.
