To many, Donald Trump is a hero.

During Operation Desert Storm in 1991, Corporal Ryan Stickney and 200 fellow US Marines found themselves stranded after being told their flight home was canceled due to a logistical error. They were stranded that is, until Trump stepped in, according to an exclusive Sean Hannity report.

After a long journey the troops couldn’t quite reach their home state of Florida, and found themselves stranded in North Carolina.

That’s when someone contacted Trump about the situation, the Trump campaign confirmed.

“The way the story was told to us was that Mr. Trump found out about it and sent the airline down to take care of us,” Stickney told Hannity. “And that’s all we knew….I remember asking ‘Who is Donald Trump?’ I truly didn’t know anything about him.”

Now, Stickney says he just wants to thank Trump.

“It may not seem like much to most people, but it was very important to a bunch of jar heads and more importantly their families waiting for them on the hot tarmac,” said Stickney.

Stickney said he has never seen the kind of support for American troops like the support Trump has pledged to on the campaign trail, saying “I have not seen a Clinton or Sanders plane, or anything else for that matter, sent to support the troops.”
