Who knew? Taylor Swift is one of today’s “great philosophers.”

During her commencement address at Bridgewater State University Saturday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren said that she’d never imagined at her own graduation that she’d one day get into a Twitter war with DonaldTrump, according to The Boston Globe.

“Heck, on my day of graduation, I never imagined I would visit foreign countries. I never imagined I would be a commencement speaker. I never imagined I would get into a Twitter war with Donald Trump,” Warren said of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

She also said that her life since her graduation has been filled with “mistakes and twists and turns and failures.”

One of those “mistakes” was passing herself off as a native American, allegedly in order to get a step ahead of the competition in the job market.

On that basis, when Warren began her Twitter campaign against Trump, he gave her a hilarious, albeit juvenile, four-word response.

Also on that basis, Fox News host Jeanine Pirro recently expressed fear that if Warren were to become Hillary Clinton’s running mate, “two documented liars [could be] running the country.”

But the wildest thing she did was to use a line from a Taylor Swift song to give the graduates advice, and then claim the pop star to be one of the great philosophers of the modern world.

“As one of the great philosophers of our time has said, ‘Haters going to hate, hate, hate hate, hate,’” she told the graduates.

“Knowing who you are helps you, ‘Shake It Off.’”

Swift seems like a fine human being and a terrific artist, but I’m sure that even she would agree that a“great philosopher” she’s not.

Let’s just say that Warren’s “mistakes” through life’s journey continue to this day and hope she was kidding about Swift.
