Bret Baier peppered the Republican presidential nominee with questions, citing a Buzzfeed source…

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said he could understand why neither of the former Bush presidents will endorse him, given his continued stance against the Iraq invasion.

“The war in Iraq was perhaps the worst decision ever made in this coultry’s history,” he told Fox News anchor Bret Baier. “It totally de-stabilized the Middle East. It was a total disaster. It was made by Bush.”

“Now on that, I just want to clear that up,” Baier said. “You’ve come out with articles, but there’s audio of you before there were…”

“No, there isn’t,” Trump insisted. “No, there isn’t.”

“There’s a BuzzFeed piece. . . .” Baier tried to continue.

“Yes, I’m talking to Howard Stern weeks before — the first time anybody had ever asked,” Trump said, conceding he did make the comment “And don’t forget, I was a civilian.”

Then he explained the circumstances behind his support.

“The first time anyone ever asked me about the war, about should we go in, because it was a question, are we going in? And I said very weakly, ‘Well, blah, blah, blah, yes, I guess.’”
