A group of West Point students could be in big trouble over a leaked picture that made its way onto the web.

The picture showed 16 black cadets posing in uniform with fists raised, and is believed to pay homage to the Black Lives Matter movement.

If true, the picture would be in violation of West Point’s policy against participating in political movement while in uniform, according to the New York Daily News.

“We can confirm that the cadets in this photo are members of the U.S. Military Academy’s Class of 2016,” West Point spokesman Lt. Christopher Kasker, told the Daily News. “Academy officials are conducting an inquiry into the matter.”

The photo was sent to the Army Times on Wednesday by readers who were concerned that the cadets violated the policy.

The cadets, all women, have been defending themselves privately on an app called Yik Yak, blogger and former soldier John Burk wrote.

“It’s a really touchy subject here,” an anonymous source told Burk.

“We can get kicked out of West Point, or forced to repeat years for what is called a ‘respect board.’  They can be given for just making someone upset, so no one wants to get kicked out of college and lose their commission over something like this, especially since a white man, in this situation, is already at a disadvantage when a conversation like this starts. It’s purely political.”
