Who could ask for a stronger endorsement than this?

Former Indiana University Hoosiers basketball coach Bobby Knight introduced Donald Trump at an Indianapolis rally Wednesday as someone who will become one of the greatest presidents in American history.

“If you people will do this, if you will do this, you will be having our government take its first step toward what all of us want America to be like,” Knight said.

He added that Indiana voters have a chance next Tuesday to put the Republican presidential front-runner “over the top” in his quest to attain the 1,237 delegates to secure the nomination.

“There has never been a presidential candidate prepared to the length that this man is,” Knight said.

He added that he considered the real estate magnate to be the best person for the White House.

“I think the most important thing in the world is that we vote for the best man there is for this job and you’ve already met him,” Knight said.

He also said that Trump would restore relations between the White House and the Pentagon as never before.

“This man will see that, that group of people that we so depend on is really taken care of and treated in the best way possible,” he said.

But as folks on social media observed, although Knight is a collegiate basketball icon, it was a case of a man noted for doing outrageous things praising another noted for saying outrageous things.

Although there may be some truth to all this, one thing is for certain — Knight is a considered a legend among Hoosiers and the endorsement can only help Trump in the May 3rd primary.

Indiana presidential primaries are open to voters of any party affiliation, a system that has favored Trump in the past. Fifty-seven delegates are up for grabs.
