It’s in the cards. No matter who the Republican nominee is, 2016 may strike the death knell for the GOP.
This was the opinion of Republican strategist Mary Matalin.
During her appearance on ABC News’ “This Week,” host George Stephanopoulos asked her whether the GOP will “blow up” if front-running presidential candidate Donald Trump doesn’t get the votes he needs to secure the nomination.
“It’s going to blow up anyway,” Matalin, who once served under President Ronald Reagan, said. “It’s been blowing up for a long time because it has not been representing conservatives.”
