Desperate times call for desperate measures.
That’s the motto of Donald Trump’s ally Roger Stone in a new write-up for Breitbart in which Stone demands that delegates for the New York businessman sign a loyalty pledge in order to avoid what he calls “the BIG STEAL” during the GOP nominating process.
“We at Stop the Steal, the grassroots uprising, and March on Cleveland will ask every Trump delegate to the Republican convention to sign a pledge that ‘they will remain committed to vote for the winner of the primary or caucus as chosen by the voters (Donald J. Trump)’ through the entire balloting process,” Stone wrote.
Stone mentioned that the pledge would be voluntary and designed so the Trump campaign can decide which delegates they can trust and which ones are potential shills, “with the insiders’ attempt to steal the nomination from Donald Trump,” according to Stone.
“The media will know too,” Stone wrote. “Then these ‘Trojan Horses’ can explain why our votes don’t matter.”
Stone said that if delegates aligned with the Republican establishment try to steal the nomination from Trump during the GOP convention, it will be before the first ballot.
“These ‘Trump’ delegates give the anti-Trump forces a majority on questions of rules, credentials, and platform — all of which must be ratified or rejected by the full convention before the First ballot for president,” Stone wrote. “This is where the big steal will take place.”
Previously, Stone said he will organize protests at hotels during the GOP convention of “stale delegates of states supporting the BIG STEAL,” according to Buzzfeed.
Stone hinted once again at “backroom deals” where anti-Trump establishment-types are “plotting” a deal to stop Trump’s nomination.
