Imagine if he were Republican! NYC Mayor de Blasio jokes about ‘colored people time’ with Hillary

How great it is to be a white progressive Democrat in America today.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio joked about how long it took him to endorse Hillary Clinton, saying it was because he operates on “CP time,” which is short for “colored people time.”

The definition of “CP time, according to Urban Dictionary: “[A] stereotyping of African Americans/Black People as not punctual/frequently or constantly being late.”

Twitchy.com reported that de Blasio dropped the phrase Friday at the Inner Circle Show, a dinner modeled after the Gridiron Club held each year in New York City where politicians are satirized by local political reporters.

Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton was on the stage with the mayor at the time and even tried to clean up the “joke” by suggesting the phrase stands for “cautious politician time.”

The idea that a Republican politician would never get away with what de Blasio and Clinton were a part of was a common theme on social media.
