Trump sees unexpected competition in Indiana delegate challenge – Tom Selleck?

Donald Trump considers himself a master at making deals but the Republican presidential front-runner has reportedly not been able to cut a deal with GOP delegates in Indiana.

Adding to the real estate tycoon’s conundrum was the introduction of a very unexpected — and unlikely — opponent.

Politico reported on Saturday:

Republican Party insiders in the state will select 27 delegates to the national convention on Saturday, and Trump is assured to be nearly shut out of support, according to interviews with a dozen party leaders and officials involved in the delegate selection process. Anti-Trump sentiment runs hot among GOP leadership in Indiana, and it’s driving a virulent rejection of the mogul among likely delegates.

 

An email blast was reportedly used to “mobilize grass-roots delegate candidates” by encouraging Trump supporters to run.

The anti-Trump forces are holding strong though, even throwing unexpected candidates into the mix … such as “Blue Bloods” actor Tom Selleck:

As might be expected, the mere mention of Selleck’s name sent social media atwitter. The debate was not over whether to support the popular actor, but over WHICH version of Selleck:
