Fox News host Jenna Lee introduced her brand new daughter on social media Friday and shared the inspiring story behind the name she and husband Leif Babin chose.

Their second child and first girl was named Liberty Josephine Babin.

Lee explained on Facebook that the name Liberty was chosen years ago during a phone conversation with her then future husband, who was a Navy SEAL deployed to Iraq and “calling from Camp Michael Monsoor, a base named in memory of a fallen SEAL Team mate.”

“Her future mommy was standing at the base of Manhattan looking at the Statue of Liberty,” she added.

Liberty’s birth was featured Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Happening Now,” which Lee normally co-hosts.

“That’s when they decided if they ever had a baby girl, she would be named Liberty,” explained host Jon Scott. “Now that day has come.”

Adding to the incredible circumstances surrounding her birth is that Liberty now shares a birthday — April 5 — with Monsoor.
