A hashtag campaign started by Hillary Clinton supporters backfired in their collective faces Saturday.
After her rival in the race for the Democrat presidential nomination, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, demanded an apology from Clinton on Friday for saying he misrepresented her cozy relationship with the fossil fuel industry, her fans swung and missed in their attempt to strike back.
Supporters of the former secretary of state began posting the hashtag #ApologizeForWhat which became a trending topic on social media.
Clinton’s detractors had a field day listing reasons she should apologize.
