Conservative radio host Ben Ferguson and Donald Trump’s spokeswoman Katrina Pierson went at it over the Trump campaign’s attacks on Ted Cruz’s wife and the Cruz sex scandal in the National Enquirer.
Ferguson accused Trump of being a pathological liar because he accused the Cruz campaign of purchasing a naked photo of Melania Trump which then gave it to a super PAC who ran the ad against the candidate.
Pierson fired back and accused the Cruz campaign of lying because it claimed Trump was behind the Enquirer sex scandal story, in which Pierson was named as one of the Texas senator’s alleged mistresses.
“Katrina, I don’t know why you don’t have any scruples to these types of stories. Your name was in that story,” Ferguson shot back. “The fact that you’re willing to use this to the advantage of your campaign and put your own name through the mud — which you have also said, this story is factually incorrect. This is the trashiest thing I’ve seen.”
“With regards to me,” Pierson retorted.
Ferguson accused the Trump campaign of strategically placing Pierson’s name in the story to make it appear that they weren’t connected to it.
“You guys are connected,” he charged.
