Now that copulating with rats has entered the picture, it may be safe to say that the 2016 presidential election has officially seen it all.
Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz responded to a National Enquirer story that he has engaged in multiple affairs by calling the claim “garbage” and “tabloid smear,” and he placed responsibility for the attack at the doorstep of rival Donald Trump and his former campaign adviser, Roger Stone.
“This National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies,” Cruz said at a hastily called news conference. “It is a tabloid smear, and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen.”
Cruz said that for months, Stone has been “foreshadowing this attack,” and noted that the former Richard Nixon aide “is a man who has 50 years of dirty tricks behind him. He’s a man for whom a term was coined for copulating with a rodent.”
“Donald Trump may be a rat but I have no desire to copulate with him,” Cruz concluded.
The comment is in reference to Stone’s reputation as a “ratf*cker,” which he acquired while working for Nixon — it is slang for political sabotage or dirty tricks.
Cruz responded on Twitter by saying “Trump’s consistently disgraceful behavior is beneath the office we are seeking.”

One thing is certain, those out to be entertained by the Republican presidential primary are getting their money’s worth and then some.
