What is this? Obama films unfunny, bizarre skit with Cuban comic

In recognition of his Cuban visit Sunday, President Barack Obama filmed billed as a comedic skit with Pánfilo, a popular Cuban TV star and comedian.

But not only did the comedy get lost in the translation, one has to ask doesn’t he have better things to do?

The scene involved Pánfilo making a phone call to check the weather for an upcoming baseball game. But he misdialed — instead of getting the weather he reached a direct line into the Oval Office.

Obama, of course, picked up the phone.

What could very well have been high comedy became something almost painful to watch.

But more importantly, it lacked the gravitas that should come from the nation’s chief executive — something Obama’s been called out on before.

“A president should have a little more dignity,” actor David Spade told TMZ in December.

Obama didn’t take the hint as the clip below indicates.
