Sheriff Clarke on dealing with ‘anarchist’ protesters: Be ready when fight comes to you

As pro illegal immigration supporters prepare to protest a Donald Trump event in Arizona on Saturday, Sheriff David Clarke is calling them out for who they really are.

“I identified these individuals for who they really are well over a year ago,” he said on Fox & Friends Weekend. “I call them anarchists. It’s a conglomeration of misfits.

“You have rowdy juveniles, you have criminals, you have cop haters, you have university students, you have organized labor and there’s a spattering of well intentioned people that are being used in this and put out front to put on a good face,” he said calling it a “dangerous” and “totalitarian movement.”

Clarke said the group is empowered by the mainstream media who he called the “propaganda wing of the Democrat Party” and added that groups like these only understand force. Although Clarke doesn’t condone starting a fight, he added that people need to be prepared.

“I’m not encouraging them to start the fight, but I’m one of those that comes from the school: if the fight is inevitable, hit first, and hit hard.”

The sheriff explained that “every sovereign nation has a duty and an obligation and a vested interest to protect its borders.”

Clarke isn’t the only sheriff that is calling for these violent protesters to be stopped.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who is attending Trump’s rally today and acting as security, said he’s prepared to take on the protesters.
