Secret Service tweets ominous warning about what YOU say on social media

If you think you can say whatever comes into your mind on social media think again.

The Secret Service issued an ominous warning via its Twitter account on Friday warning of repercussions if you say the wrong thing.

The agency linked to an article about a man who received a visit from two agents after he made a joke on his Facebook page about Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders coming to his area.

“Where do we send the bomb?” he posted.

The Secret Service did not find it amusing.

“I received a phone call from my son saying there were two gentlemen at the door from the Secret Service. And I thought he was kidding. But he wasn’t and they actually waited for me to get home,” the man, Gary Barry, told WWLP.

“They were asking me if I was a racist, if I was anti-Muslim. And, do I have any thoughts of suicide or thoughts of assassinating the vice president or president,” he said.

While it is sound advice to never make those types of jokes, and it is wise for the authorities to check any potential threat, it does beg the question: Are all of the candidates getting the same type of protection?

If so, how are all these violent anti-Donald Trump protests able to be organized and coordinated online?
